Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian playback singer, actress and musician. Her work is primarily focused on Tamil or Malayalam-language films. Her debut as an actress was the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam as well as her Malayalam debut with Annayum is in the film. Andrea Jeremiah is from an Anglo-Indian background. She was born to an Madras High Court attorney. Also, she has a younger sister, currently employed as a research associate Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began learning classical piano around the age of eight. Andrea was a huge geek who wanted to become a psychiatrist. In her twenties, she became in a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the base of her early performing and music composition career. Additionally, she worked as an actress in her college. Andrea was president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her theatre career by appearing in Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. The role she played in 2006's Leo Coffee commercial included Shiva. The year 2006 was the time she was a part-time actress in a series that was airing on Podhigai. She has performed on stage in India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's final scene (2005). Gautham Menon asked Andrea to play the lead role after she performed in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Andrea was Kalyani the wife who's husband is involved in an extramarital affair. Andrea was approached after Simran Shobana and Tabu. The film was released in the early part of 2010. In August 2011 Venkat Prabhu released his multi-starrer Mankatha.
