Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born April 16, 1997 in Miami Florida. Half English as well as Spanish She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. She is an Argentinean who has Scottish, English and Argentinean descendance. Her mother is of Spanish and English origin. Taylor Joy also has 4 brothers and sisters, with one coming in each parent's prior marriages. The family lived at Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria part in London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatic and that she didn't learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she changed schools from Northlands. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she was 16, she quit school to pursue a profession as an actress full-time. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to work as an actor. She was given a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered the opportunity to model.
